Terry's Softail Custom...Misc Brackets:

I made template from one of the side mount license plate brackets that we sell. I knew I was going to add another support on the front of it to to keep it from pivoting on the axle.

Here's a front view of the extra support I added...it's slotted at the hole so when the wheel gets adjusted, it can move as well. I started with a piece of sheet metal.

Mounting the coil ABOVE the top motor mount means having to make a custom top motor mount bracket. There is room for the coil above the mount instead of down between the cylinders. I never did like a coil hanging down between the cylinders. My key/ignition switch will go right below the mount. This is sort of a "rough "of the top mount-coil mount combo as I will trim it and smooth it out before powder coating.
