Tank Modifications:

Fabricating the tank mounts.
I can now see where I'm going to be trimming down some sharp edges and filling in some spaces and gaps.

Softail Tank Fabrication

The tank is 2" stretched 4.2 gallon tank. This is a first! It fits perfect on the mounts its made for. Nice rubber grommets too front and rear.

Top view of how the rear of tank meets frame area. I'm hoping the seat is going to sit real close in there to fill the gap.

I'll also fill in this area in front of tank and get rid of the gap that'll be there after I cut off that tab for speedo/dash I wont be needing.

Tunnel work 2

Here, I filled in the tunnel to match the frame as I had mentioned before. I also cut off the un-needed tab from the frame there. This is the basic fill panel.

Here it is after I shaped it and had it on and off the bike about 50 times to check for fit. It still needs a final fit and then the body filler to smooth it out.
